Mark A Braganza

Mark is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in practice since 1985 after having his professional training with two eminent professional accounting firms in India, viz., Price Waterhouse and Lovelock & Lewes (both now part of Price Waterhouse Coopers).

He has hands on experience in sales tax and income tax, property registration including drafting, conveyancing and taxation, project finance and governmental clearances, foreign equity proposals and exchange control requirements.

He is well versed in legal drafting, vetting and advising on structures/ alternative forms of business organization. He has undertaken India Entry Consultancy work for various clients in the engineering, food processing and software industry.

Besides being a Chartered Accountant, he is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (UK) and the British Institute of Management.

Thomas Mathai

Thomas is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has 33 years of post-qualification experience, of which 31 years were in the profession and around 2 years in industry.

He was with Lovelock & Lewes (now part of Price Waterhouse Coopers), Chartered Accountants, for a good period of 12 years where he rose to become senior manager and later group manager. He was involved in the statutory/ tax audits of companies involved in a variety of industries, including an integrated steel plant, as well as in audits of trusts, clubs, etc. He successfully managed the audits of a public sector company involved in the exploration, production and transportation of crude oil and natural gas for two years.

He has handled the following types of assignments (apart from statutory / tax audits)

  • Internal audits
  • Due diligence reviews for takeovers
  • Valuation of business for mergers
  • Various certification assignments under central excise laws and under foreign collaboration agreements
  • Secretarial compliances under the Companies Act including drafting
  • Assisting in the preparation of prospectus/ letters of offer in accordance with SEBI guidelines/ reports of accountants in prospectus, etc.

He was earlier the Chief Accountant of a group of tea companies having 4 tea estates.

He holds a Diploma in Information Systems Audit and Certification of IFRS, Valuation, as well as of Forensic & Fraud Prevention issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He has also a registered Insolvency Professional with the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India.

Malay Kumar Sengupta

Mr. Malay is a Fellow member of the ICAI with around 50 years of post-qualification experience
He was with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) since 1966 and joined MABACAS in 2002.
He was instrumental in setting up operations of Price Waterhouse in Bangalore.
He has been in charge of audits and liaison with the Government and MNC clients of Price Waterhouse, Bangalore office.

Ravi Bothra

Ravi Bothra is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was trained with MABACAS and was attached with MABACAS since 2007. After completing his professional studies and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he joined the firm in 2012 and was admitted as a partner from end 2014.

Ravi is also a qualified Company Secretary.

Ravi is involved mainly with tax and consultancy related matters. He has recently hand held a 29-year old limited company, with 3 overseas subsidiaries, when the promoter family divested their entire shareholding to another entity and was the focal point for accounting and all regulatory formalities under company law and Foreign Exchange Management Act.

He has also been involved in audits including audit of branches of public sector banks.

Ravishankar Hegde

Ravishankar Hegde is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was trained with MABACAS and was attached with MABACAS since 2007. After completing his professional studies and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he joined the firm in 2013 and was admitted as a partner from end 2014.

Ravi is involved mainly with audit and consultancy related matters. Ravi has been the engagement partner for a few statutory audits, including of units of public sector companies and branches of public sector banks, as well as of internal audits.
